Yes! Fans have access to the warm-up rings throughout the grounds and are welcome to watch and get close to the action. The barn area is restricted, however, due to FEI rules for the safety of the horse.
Do riders need to qualify to compete at Spruce Meadows?
The only tournament which restricts riders from entering their horse for competition is the “Masters” Tournament. Athletes must either get an invitation from their Federation to compete as a team or qualify as an individual for the International Divisions held on the International Ring. All other tournaments are open to riders who are able to safely compete at a particular height.
