Foreman, Horticulture - Maintenance and Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Foreman, Horticulture is the primary person responsible for the working supervision of the Horticulture Crew and reports directly to the Assistant Manager, Horticulture.  Duties include, but are not limited to, water truck scheduling, deployment and upkeep, maintenance of equipment and inventory of all relevant stock and the deployment of annuals and perennials. 

Please note that during the Tournaments, requirements and tasks may be adjusted.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

• Two year Horticultural diploma or certificate / or related work experience
• Experience in specialized equipment operations (skid steer and agricultural equipment)
• Previous supervisory experience

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

• Ability to multi-task, meet short deadlines and core objectives
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
• Ability to problem solve and exhibit conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work many weekends and evenings in a fast paced environment
• Current certification in Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (Asset)
  Ability to speak a second language fluently (Asset)
