RESPONSIBILITIES: |
|
|
|
The Foreman, Irrigation is the primary person responsible for the operation,
maintenance and upkeep of our extensive irrigation system and reports directly
to the Manager, Grounds. Duties include, but are not limited to; creating and
maintaining of daily watering schedules on turf, shrub and flower bed zones;
irrigation equipment deployment and upkeep; inventory, maintenance and ordering
of tools, parts and equipment; property drainage control; and irrigation system
repairs or expansions as necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS |
|
|
|
- Two years work related experience or irrigation certificate
- High School Diploma
- Minimum Class Five License
- Professionalism in deportment and approach
- Organizational proficiency
- Certification from
any industry association (Asset)
|

|
EXPERIENCE |
|
|
|
- Irrigation installation, operation and maintenance experience
- Experience in specialized equipment operations (skid steer and
agricultural equipment) (Asset)
- Previous supervisory experience
|

COMPETENCIES
& SKILLS |
|
| |
- Ability to multi-task, meet short deadlines and core objectives
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
- Ability to problem solve and exhibit conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work many weekends and evenings in a fast paced
environment
- Current certification in Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
(Asset)
- Ability to speak a second language fluently
