RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Foreman, Sand Rings is the primary person responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the sand competition footing arenas reporting directly to the Manager, Grounds.  Duties include, but are not limited to; daily scheduling of watering and harrowing; working supervision of crews; sand ring repairs and general upkeep; inventory and equipment management; sand bridal path maintenance and up keep.  

Please note that during the Tournaments, requirements and tasks may be adjusted.

   

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient at operating a small agricultural tractor
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum Class Five License
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Professionalism in deportment and approach
  • Organizational proficiency
  • Certification from any industry association (Asset)
   

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in specialized equipment operations (skid steer and agricultural equipment)
  • Previous supervisory experience
   
 

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

 
 
  • Ability to multi-task, meet short deadlines and core objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
  • Ability to problem solve and exhibit conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work many weekends and evenings in a fast paced environment
  • Current certification in Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (Asset)
  • Ability to speak a second language fluently (Asset)
