Entries for the 2009 CN/Sun Media Name the Foal Contest are now closed. We received over 86,000 creative entries from over 27 countries around the world! The judges had a tough challenge going through all of the wonderful names suggested.

The winning names are:

The names of the three foals must begin with the first letter of their sire's name. This declares that these foals are of Hannoverian lineage traced through the father's line in the centuries-old Stud Book. During show jumping competition here at Spruce Meadows, many of the top horses you see carry the Hannoverian brand. In fact, Hannoverian breeders have done an excellent job in developing a superior breed in the Hannoverian for over 250 years. That is why Spruce Meadows has chosen the Hannoverian Warmblood for their breeding program.
