Eligibility
|

Winner must be at
least 18 years of age, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Employees, and families of employees of CN, Sun Media, Spruce Meadows,
or their agencies and affiliates are not eligible to win.
Winner's name and likeness may be used for advertising and publicity
without compensation or permission. |

1. Two commemorative
jackets,
co-signatured with CN, Sun Media and the Foal's name.
2. Transportation for two
(round-trip fare) to
Spruce Meadows for the "Masters" Tournament, with hotel accommodation
from September 3-7, 2008.*

stable plaque with the Foal's name.

photograph with Foal.

This is your chance to name a show jumper!
Submit your
entry for the opportunity to name one of three Hannoverian foals born
at Spruce Meadows this spring. The winning names are chosen from a
worldwide selection of submitted entries.
During show
jumping competition here at Spruce Meadows, many of the top horses you
see carry the Hannoverian brand. In fact, Hannoverian breeders have
done an excellent job in developing a superior breed in the
Hannoverian for over 250 years. That is why Spruce Meadows has chosen
the Hannoverian Warmblood for their breeding program.
These foals have so
much potential ... but what they do not have yet ... is a name! That
is where we need your help. From now until July 31, 2008 we
encourage visitors to our website to help us in choosing a name for
our newborns.
Spruce Meadows, along
with CN
and Sun Media,
is pleased to present our Name the Foal Contest. It is a tradition
that has become a fan favourite at Spruce Meadows, with literally
thousands of great ideas coming in from thousands of great people.
People of all ages join in on the fun in the hopes that that name they
choose for their favourite colt or filly will carry the young horse to
greatness!
After the closing
date, a panel of judges will then review all of the names and choose
the one that best suits the personality and appearance of each foal.
If a winning name is entered by more than one person, a draw will take
place to determine the winner.
If your name is
chosen, you will be contacted by Spruce Meadows sometime in
mid-August and you'll be on your way to the Spruce Meadows
"Masters" Tournament where your own name will appear on a special
stall plaque, along with the name of the foal it belongs to. Then,
you'll get to show off just a little bit when you walk away wearing a
stylish new Spruce Meadows jacket.
