MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • "Winning the Team Silver at the 2003 Pan American Games."

  • Quantum Tyme's placing in the FEI World Breeders Championships was the best result ever posted by a Canadian.

  • "Getting two horses (Quantum Tyme, 4th in 2000, and Foto Tyme, 10th in 2004) into the FEI World Breeders Championships was a big thing and exciting for me."

TID BITS

  • Evi was a World Cup ski racer on the German 'B' team at ages 15 and 16, and still skis, bikes and plays tennis when she has time.

  • She moved to Canada in 1988 and became a Canadian citizen in 1994.

  • In a different venue, Strasser won a Bronze Medal for Canada at the World Cup Snowboarding Final when she was 30.

HORSE  PROFILE

Quantum Tyme

MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Top Canadian placing at FEI Breeders Championship (4th) for 5-year-olds, team silver medal Pan Am Games 2003, World Cup Finals 2005, won the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle at the CDI*** level in 2006

TID BITS

  • Quattro B and Argentinus were show jumpers, and both sired dressage horses as well as show jumpers. Canadian team jumper, Special Ed, is also by Argentinus.

  • “My Quarter Horse?” said his rider, Evi Strasser, in jest. “He’s perfect! The driver just has to be on. He’s opinionated about what he wants, laid back in the barn and electric in the ring. I guess he saves his energy. He doesn’t like too much warming up before a class. He likes steady and quiet in the morning.

  • “He’s a big moving horse, and he’ll do it if I prepare him right. He doesn’t have any movements that are difficult and he likes to work."

  • I like it when it feels like Quantum does it by himself – because he wants to do it – it’s magic and you remember it for a long time. It is the ultimate feeling!”
