CANADIAN DRIVING TEAM

Bill MacGillivray
Carol Dailley
Courtney MacGillivray

MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Courtney represented Canada at the World Singles Championships in 2004 in Astorp, Sweden; was First in the Lichtenvoord, Netherlands CDE in 2005; First in Driven Dressage in Beerse, Belgium in 2005; and Sixth at the Royal Windsor CDE in England, 2006.

  • Due to the months of European competition prior to the Championships, Courtney and Typhoon Velvet will have considerable international experience, despite the horse’s age.

TID BITS

  • Although Courtney has been involved with horses “my whole life”, she has only been involved in FEI Driving for four years. “I previously competed in conformation and driving classes with Clydesdales and Pleasure Driving with various other light-horse breeds,” Courtney said. Her other passtimes include playing elite ice hockey.

  • For relaxation, between studies as a third-year student at the University of Guelph, she said, “I clean harness, watch a movie or go out with friends.”
