MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Fourth time as a Chef d’Équipe, but first time at a World Equestrian Games

TEAM INFORMATION

• “This is my first opportunity to ‘chef’ a team at this level…this is our biggest event!”

• Five riders from the list of Nominated Riders have made the financial and time commitment to represent Canada at these Games. The four Team members will be selected after the final pre-ride veterinary check and the fifth member will ride as an Individual.

• James Carmalt, DVM is the Team Veterinarian assisted by Roxy Bell, DVM. Scott Hie is the team Chiropractor (human and equine). Each rider may take two grooms and there are several volunteers planning to make the trip to assist.

• As a non-Olympic sport, ineligible for national support, funding for the Team is provided by the individual riders and officials, sponsorship solicitations and fund raising events.
