MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • “My biggest riding accomplishment was completing the Tevis Cup in 1994. It took 23 ½ hours, but I did it.” (The time limit is 24 hours)

  • “I’ve represented Canada 7 times as a rider and twice as Chef d’Équipe.” (As a rider and chef in North America and as a rider in Dubai in 1998. )

  • Linda was Chef d’Équipe for the gold medal team – Canada West - at the Pan American Games in 1997.

  • She has accumulated over 7,800 miles in endurance and competitive trail.

TID BITS

  • “I’ve been involved with horses off and on all my life.  In 1983 a neighbour talked me into a competitive trail ride and that was the beginning of the end. I started endurance in 1984.”

  • She is also a certified scuba diver.

  • She currently owns three horses, including one that is almost 30 years old.

  • He was first and won the coveted “Best Conditioned” award at an FEI ride in 2005.

  • “I got him as a 5-year-old,” said Linda. “He was so fat, he didn’t have withers, but it was love at first sight.

  • “On the trail he is a big mover and has a big trot. He’s smooth and very easy to ride.

  • “He must know what a competition is. He’s good in the vet checks. He ships pretty well, but has never flown.”
