MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

“I coached the Ontario Young Riders Team in 1996 and 1997 to bronze medals both years,” said Chris.

As a rider, he won the World Cup qualifier in 2005, tied for lead in Canadian League World Cup standings in 2005 and was a member of winning Nations’ Cup team in Florida in 2006.

TID BITS

  • Chris has been involved with Show Jumping for 16 years. “I did hunters and ponies as a kid,” he said, after his father traded four goats for a pony to get him started.

  • For relaxation he enjoys  “Working at home in the yard, gardening, fixing and cutting down trees. I got a new chain saw!”

TID BITS

  • As a grandson of Pilot, he is related to a number of top show jumpers, including PS Priamos (Team Gold at the World Championships / WEG in 1994 and 1998 – with different riders).

  • “He’s sort of a shy horse, not cuddly, a bit independent, but sensitive,” said Pratt. “He’s an energetic ride and a forward type of horse.

  • “He has a huge stride and is efficient when he jumps. He doesn’t spend a lot of time over the jump.”
