Duane has been showing since he was a child. “I
grew up doing all the Quarter Horse events:
cutting, pleasure, working cow horse, roping,
halter, etc. I specialized in Reining
exclusively about 14 or 15 years ago.”

“I
spent three years in Italy.” He was coaching
reiners and training horses there.

The family currently owns around 20 horses. “We
have broodmares, babies, futurity horses and
competition horses.”

For relaxation Duane enjoys “stream fishing and
boating.”

blood of the Leo San grandson, Peppy San Badger,
and the King Fritz son, Bueno Chex, making him
related to all three individual medalists from
WEG 2002 – San Jo Freckles, Conquistador Whiz,
Pretty Much Eagle. Topsail Cody is the sire of
Topsail Whiz, who appeared as the sire of
Conquistador Whiz (individual silver and tam
gold medalist, WEG 2002, Inwhizable (team gold
WEG 2002) and Ghost Buster Baby (team silver,
WEG 2002, ridden by team mate Francois
Gauthier).
