MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
-
Colin said, “Being at WEG in 1998, being at the
Vaulting Championships in Germany in 2000 and
scoring a 7.4 at WEG in 2002. This will be my
third WEG, which, for a Vaulter, is good. We
tend to have a short shelf life.”
TID BITS
-
“I
started (Vaulting) when I was eleven years old.
The whole family was involved; all four siblings
and our Mom coached. Now I coach and my sister
(Alisa Porter) also coaches. Chilliwack has the
oldest Vaulting club in Canada.
-
“I
did ten years in 4-H, showing in Western and
English. I ride the Vaulting horses for
exercise.
-
“I
currently own one horse, am leasing a second and
looking for a third. One of the horses, Trooper,
won the HCBC (Horse Council of British Columbia)
‘Horse of the Year’ award.
-
“I
Vault to relax.” Colin’s other interests include
Paintball and cars, including drag racing.
