Canada Day at Spruce Meadows

Celebrate Canada Day
with the Spruce Meadows Run Series

The Heroes Behind the Heroes Run July 1 @ 8:00AM in support of the Military Families Fund* features a chip-timed 5km course with military obstacles and competitive 10km race serving as the first leg of the “40km for 40 Years” challenge. The untimed 2km walk option is also available. A complimentary Pancake Breakfast from Great Events awaits all race participants at the finish line.

In support of the Military Families Fund, the Heroes Behind the Heroes Run encourages participants to donate through the online Running Room Giving Page, or onsite on race day at the Support Our Troops tent at the start/finish line. Yellow Ribbon branded merchandise will also be available for purchase, with proceeds benefitting the Military Families Fund.



is open online until 24 hours before the event. Onsite registration will be available July 1 beginning at 7:00AM located at the Registration and Package Pick Up tent.

Participants receive admission to Spruce Meadows to spend the rest of their Canada Day with the first day of the ‘North American’ Tournament. Pony rides, face painting and family entertainment are featured around the grounds. The Time Faults Pub patio is also open to enjoy refreshments in the sunshine. *Military Families Fund

The MFF allows for several areas of support, including rehabilitation, education, financial assistance in the case of injury or death of a Canadian Forces member due to service, and urgent and extraordinary financial demands where the ability to provide family necessities is at risk.
