This year, the annual Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation Unstoppable fundraiser celebrates the Year of the Horse by supporting three organizations that harness the extraordinary power of horses to transform lives.
Since its inception in 2015, the Foundation has contributed $3.5 million to organizations and initiatives that bring positive change to the lives of Albertans. One of the cornerstones of our charitable efforts has been the annual Unstoppable fundraiser, which continues to inspire generosity and hope.
The 2026 Unstoppable fundraiser will support three equine therapy charities serving a wide range of individuals across our community.
Funds raised will support Can Praxis, which provides equine-assisted mental health recovery programs for Veterans, First Responders and their families; Opening Gaits, which provides therapeutic riding opportunities for children and adults with disabilities; and Robinson Outreach at RiverCross Ranch (ROARR), which provides equine-assisted learning and related programs for at-risk youth and seniors.
From children and adults living with disabilities to Veterans and First Responders, at-risk youth and seniors, the range of people whose lives are improved by horses is a powerful testament to their impact.
Through the years, Unstoppable has become more than just a fundraising event. Every donation, every auction bid and every gesture of support helps these organizations continue making a meaningful difference.
