Spruce Meadows welcomes journalists, photographers, broadcasters and other accredited media from around the world to cover our tournaments, events and stories. Anyone may submit an application for media accreditation for a Spruce Meadows tournament. However, accreditation is intended for individuals working on assignment for a recognized media outlet.
Applicants should be prepared to provide proof of assignment from their media outlet.

No. Media accreditation is intended for photographers and media professionals working on assignment.
Hobby and personal photographers are welcome to attend Spruce Meadows as guests and may photograph from designated public and spectator areas, subject to the applicable photography policies. Access to restricted areas and media photography locations is not permitted without appropriate accreditation and approval.

If you are interested in interviewing a specific rider for a story, please contact a member of the Spruce Meadows Media Services team. Please note, you must have been approved by Spruce Meadows as accredited media for this request to be considered.
The team will do its best to facilitate interview requests based on rider availability. Please understand that riders may not always be available or willing to participate in an interview. We ask all media to respect the rider's decision and the interview coordination process.
During tournaments that offer FEI levels of competition, the Spruce Meadows Media Centre opens 30 minutes before the start of the first competition and closes 60 minutes after the presentation ceremony of the final competition.
The Media Centre is not operational during Classic Series Tournaments (those that only offer national level competitions). Media Services will provide direction and information regarding media operations for these events.
The Media Centre is a shared working environment, and we ask all users to be respectful of other media and staff.
Lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis for storing equipment. Photographers must provide their own lock. Spruce Meadows is not responsible for lost or stolen equipment or personal belongings.
Pets are not permitted in the Media Centre.
Personal transportation, including (but not limited to) golf carts, e-bikes, e-scooters, etc.... may not be parked outside the Media Centre and must be left in designated parking areas (located above Founders Plaza)
Media Centre facilities and equipment are to be used respectfully and appropriately.
During competitions, photographers who have been accredited must shoot from the designated photo pen areas positioned around the course, unless otherwise authorized by Spruce Meadows Media Services.
Photography vests can be obtained from the Media Services team each morning and must be returned at the end of the day. Vests must be worn if you intend to photography on the ring.
Photographers who are not positioned in designated photo pens may be asked to leave the competition area and will not be permitted to photograph from the course.
Movement between photo locations is permitted between rounds, such as between the first round and jump-off.
Photographers may also photograph from designated areas outside the competition rings. When doing so, please be mindful of spectator sightlines and avoid obstructing the viewing experience.
During indoor tournaments, photography from inside the competition ring is not permitted.
Video can be captured by accredited media with but is, subject to Spruce Meadows' media and broadcast guidelines.
Due to existing broadcast and media agreements, a minimum of three hours must be maintained between broadcasts and same-day highlights.
Additional restrictions may apply depending on the event, competition and intended use of the footage. Media and production crews should contact Spruce Meadows Media Services with questions regarding specific coverage plans.
