Friday, Oct. 17, 2025 — Spruce Meadows is launching an exciting new Christmas Lights Walk-Through this December, with fire pits, food, AND Calgary’s ONLY indoor Christmas Lights Maze.
Called the Enchanted Festival at Spruce Meadows, the new event will run on the evenings of Dec. 5-7, 12-14, and 19-24 and will allow guests to take in the beauty of Spruce Meadows’ famous Christmas Lights on foot. It will be ticketed, with proceeds going to Calgary & Area Food Banks and Parachute for Pets via the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation.

Following recommendations from local authorities and the Spruce Meadows Health and Safety Committee, the venue is replacing the annual Christmas Lights Drive-Through with this new format, designed to keep community safety front and centre. This change addresses growing traffic congestion and safety concerns that emerged as the drive-through’s popularity continued to increase year after year.

The celebration will also offer seasonal market vendors, indoor activities, family movies, and more, all without the traffic delays and safety concerns from previous years. The Enchanted Festival will follow the International Christmas Market, presented by TELUS, which launches in November.

Spruce Meadows’ Lights Display features millions of bulbs stretching more than 50 kilometres, and this year will include 100 glistening horses among the whimsical favourites — from the shimmering peacock to the family of bears and the charming little fox.
The Enchanted Festival at Spruce Meadows runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening, Dec. 5-7, 12-14, and 19-24.
