Friday, June 6, 2025 (Spruce Meadows)—Spruce Meadows is marking its 50th Anniversary in heroic fashion, by collaborating with Marvel to create an exclusive, limited-edition comic book set at the world-renowned show jumping venue.
The first of four unique collectible covers was unveiled today (Friday) by Spruce Meadows President and CEO Linda Southern-Heathcott, on the opening day of the venue’s exciting new event EPIC Weekends, running alongside the ‘Continental’, presented by Rolex.
Featuring iconic X-Men characters like Wolverine, Beast, Storm, and Jean Grey, the comic book, called The Spirit of Spruce Meadows, blends thrilling action with Spruce Meadows' rich history—and throws in plenty of humorous twists along the way.
A new collectible cover will debut across Spruce Meadows' summer tournaments coming up this month and early July: the 'Continental', 'National', and 'Pan American', presented by Rolex, and the 'North American'.
Matching posters will also be unveiled at each event. Both the comics and posters will be available FREE to the first 500 guests per day at every tournament — so fans are encouraged to arrive early!
As part of the celebration, Spruce Meadows will host an epic Marvel-themed Father's Day event on Sunday, June 15.
This unforgettable day also features:
Tickets are just $10 for kids and seniors, and $15 for adults — making it the perfect Father's Day offering, complete with the chance to take home a Marvel x Spruce Meadows collectible.
“We wanted to create a fun and unique keepsake to commemorate our 50th Anniversary,” said Linda Southern-Heathcott, President & CEO of Spruce Meadows. “What could be more exciting than bringing the Marvel Universe to Spruce Meadows? I’ve been a fan of the comics and movies for years. The comic turned out beautifully, and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do!"
Fans can catch sneak peeks of the covers in the weeks leading up to each tournament on Spruce Meadows' social media channels.
