What can your cardboard packaging become?
Cardboard
PAPER TOWELS

Recycle brown paper boxes/mailers, clean pizza boxes, shoe boxes and other cardboard as long as it’s at least the size of a business card. Breaking down larger boxes helps maximize space in your bin for more materials.

What can plastic bottles & containers become?
Plastic
FURNITURE & TOYS

Empty milk jugs are made of highly valuable, flexible plastic with a lot of possibilities for a second life, while hard plastic containers like shampoo and laundry detergent containers can be recycled into outdoor furniture and industrial pipes.

Visit Recycling Is Real to learn more about what happens to plastics when they're recycled.

Do batteries go in garbage & recycling?
Batteries
NO

Batteries do not belong in mainstream recycling containers as they are considered hazardous materials. In order to prevent fires, do not place batteries in your garbage or recycling bins. Instead, contact your city to find a household hazardous waste disposal location.

Visit Battery Safety Now to learn more safe battery disposal.

Recyclable items vary by location. Check local programs to find out what is recyclable in your area.
