September 3, 2025 (Calgary, AB)—Sixty competitors featured in the Cardel Homes Cup 1.55m this afternoon at the Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’. Over the track designed by FEI Course Designer Leopoldo Palacios (VEN), riders had to maneuver 11 obstacles (15 jumping efforts) in a time allowed of 72 seconds.
Fourteen of the horses jumped clear and advanced to the jump off, including world #4 ranked rider Richard Vogel (GER) and world #8 ranked rider Steve Guerdat (SUI)━ both riders posted fast clear rides but Vogel came out on top with a clear round and time of 38.93s in the jump off. Guerdat finished on a clear round with a time of 39.29s.

The action kicked off early on the International Ring with the TELUS Cup 1.50m. 74 horse/rider combinations stepped through the Clock Tower for the first time this tournament. It was a one-round competition against the clock. The 450m track had to be completed in 68 seconds.
Ireland’s Jordan Coyle continued from where he left off after his successful summer tour at Spruce Meadows. This summer were his prize money totaled over $480,000 CAD. Coyle added to the pot today, with a victory in the TELUS Cup aboard For Gold. The pair flew through the finish line posting the fastest clear round in a time of 57.16s.
