Second half of the Spruce Meadows Summer Tournaments is about to Begin!

Meadows on the Green Welcomes Rider’s Back for the 2023 ‘Pan American’ CSI5*/2*, presented by Rolex


June 27, 2023 (Spruce Meadows) - The second half of the Spruce Meadows Summer Tournament season starts tomorrow with the ‘Pan American’ CSI5*/2*, presented by Rolex. Over 300 horses partook in today’s FEI Veterinary Inspection ahead of the week’s competitions.


Throughout the week riders will be looking to qualify for Saturday’s Pan American Cup, presented by Rolex (5* tour athletes) and Sunday’s West Canadian Cup, presented by WCD (2* tour athletes). Meadows on the Green is the feature ring for this week and has not seen equine athletes since 2019. Now the home of professional football club, Cavalry FC, it will welcome some of the world’s to show jumpers to the turf.


With lots of seating around the ring, fans can watch their favourite athletes take on courses designed by FEI Course Designer Gregory Bodo (FRA). Bodo has been named as one of the designers that will work on the courses for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Canada Day is nothing but spectacular at Spruce Meadows! Join us this year, Saturday, July 1 for a full day of top international show jumping, live entertainment, family fun (CGI Kid's Zone) and a complimentary BBQ for the first 2,000 people!


Throughout the day fans will also be able to enjoy the Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) Musical Ride, performances by the Spruce Meadows Prairie Dogs, presented by Re/Max, and visit the foals who are part of our Name the Foal, presented by TELUS.


The feature event of the day, the ‘Pan American’, Grand Prix, presented by Rolex, will take place on the Meadows on the Green in the afternoon.

The Journey Continues for McLain Ward (USA) in the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping


Tune into Rogers Sportsnet (SN1) on Sunday, July 2 at 9pm ET to catch the 2h highlight of the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen, part of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping. The action will all unfold straight from Aachen, Germany where Live Contender McLain Ward (USA) and the great mare, HH Azur, could claim the Grand Slam title.
