Scott Brash (GBR) aboard Hello Jefferson made history once again at Spruce Meadows today, securing victory in the 2025 $5M CPKC ‘International’, presented by Rolex, the top-single-event purse in Canada this year.
A dominant force in today’s competition, the reigning Olympic team gold medalists were ready for victory with a powerhouse crew under Chef d’Equipe Di Lampard: Matthew Sampson, Ben Maher, Joseph Stockdale and Donald Whitaker. The foursome pulled together a final team score of 0 faults after two rounds. This ended a 29-year draught of BMO Nations’ Cup wins for Great Britain, in front of a packed International Ring crowd.
Six fences, progressing in height after each round - it’s a true testament of skill and bravery.
History was made tonight, the record height set in 2004 by Jessica Kurten (IRL) was broken by not one, but two stars. Vaclav Stanek (CZE) and Joseph Stockdale (GBR) both cleared the final fence set at 2.13m.
